Website Accessibility

The designers of mepsagainstcancer.org are very aware of the "Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0"  of the World Wide Web Consortium  (W3C Recommendation 5-May-1999)" which define the design of websites to be accessible to visually impaired people.

From the beginning, we have fully committed ourselves to design the site in a barrier-free manner with all best practice available on the net, especially for health-related websites. Hence, in the design and implementation of mepsagainstcancer.org, we took into account not using any technical features which would provide barriers to the reading impaired, e.g. using animations or graphical links.

While we are committed to accessibility, we are aware that full compliance with all rules set out by WCAG/508 would require significant resources which lay also beyond our control at this stage of the project. Official compliance will become possible as technical system used for the website is further improved in future updates.
